CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS OF STUDENTS IN THE DISCIPLINES OF ART AND AESTHETIC CYCLE IN THE SYSTEM OF GENERAL EDUCATION

The peculiarity of the system of assessing the achievements of students in the disciplines of the artistic and aesthetic cycle is its versatility, due to the multicomponent content of art education, aimed at the holistic formation of artistic and aesthetic culture of students, and provides:

formation of students’ emotional and aesthetic attitude to reality, worldviews, personal and value attitude to art, domestic and foreign art culture; development of emotional sphere, original associative and figurative thinking, universal qualities of creative personality; formation of knowledge and ideas about art, understanding the specifics of artistic and figurative language of different types of art, the ability to perceive and interpret works of art; expansion of aesthetic experience, skills and abilities in the field of artistic activity, the need for artistic and creative self-realization and spiritual self-improvement.

The objects of verification and evaluation in the process of studying art disciplines should be:

the ability of students to perceive, understand and reproduce works of art, to interpret their artistic and figurative content (to express their own aesthetic attitude); skills and abilities in practical artistic activity (reproduction according to a model), experience of independent and creative activity (application of acquired knowledge and skills in changed, in particular, problem-searching situations); awareness in the field of arts – basic knowledge and ideas about art, its main types and genres, understanding of artistic and aesthetic concepts and conscious use of appropriate terminology, ideas about the work of famous domestic and foreign artists (art propaedeutics); general aesthetic competence, artistic and figurative thinking of students as an integrated result of learning, education and development.

I. Initial

The student perceives and performs musical works on a partial level, characterizes them in a few words, demonstrates poorly formed artistic and figurative thinking, basic skills and abilities in practical musical activity

The student is able to perceive and reproduce the main part of the musical material, but has poorly formed artistic thinking, does not always consistently and logically characterize musical works, his story needs clarification and additional questions; the student shows knowledge and understanding of the main thematic provisions, but is not always able to make comparisons, conclusions about the listened or performed music

 

III. Sufficient

The student is able to perceive and perform musical works, but makes unconvincing conclusions, inconsistently expresses his thoughts, makes terminological mistakes; the student knows the most important thematic musical material, but the knowledge is unstable; there are noticeable positive changes in the musical activity of the student

The student is able to perceive and perform musical works, fully analyzes the artistic and figurative content of the work, but has a standard thinking, he lacks his own conclusions, associations, generalizations, does not always know how to combine musical works and life phenomena ; does not have enough special musical terminology in the analysis of musical phenomena

The student shows sufficient mastery of thematic musical material, but admits inaccuracies in the use of special musical terminology, which require remarks or adjustments, there are isolated shortcomings in the performance of a musical work and artistic design of their thoughts about the listened music; does not always independently systematize and generalize musical material

 

IV. High

The student has a strong knowledge of the program material, but, analyzing musical works, admits insignificant inaccuracies in the wording, when using special musical terminology, as well as when performing musical works, in most cases is able to reasonably prove his opinion about musical phenomena, it is difficult perform individual fragments of a piece of music. The student has a deep, thorough knowledge of thematic musical material within the program, is able to summarize, perceive and perform musical works, apply associative links between musical works, works of other arts and life phenomena; consciously use special musical terminology in reflections, conclusions and generalizations about the listened or performed work, offers atypical, interesting artistic and creative ideas; the level of world perception and worldview of artistic thinking is quite high; independently uses the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities in musical activity

The student has the skills and abilities that allow to analyze or reproduce individual artistic images that have an artistically specific verbal conceptual basis, but are not always able to perceive and reproduce artistic images that require abstract artistic thinking; shows satisfactory knowledge of special artistic terminology; vocabulary is not rich

The student is not always able to perceive and reproduce visual images, has a well-formed artistic thinking, does not always consistently and logically characterize individual artistic phenomena, his story needs clarification and additional questions; shows knowledge and understanding of the main thematic provisions, but is not always able to independently analyze the work of art, comparisons, conclusions about the perception of works of fine art

 

III. Sufficient

The student consciously uses the language of visual art in reflections, conclusions and generalizations about the perception of artistic images, has a high enough level of artistic thinking in the development of worldview and worldview; uses the acquired artistic skills, abilities and own abilities in artistic activity
